KIM DAVID SMITH'S
A WERY WEIMAR CHRISTMAS
Musically directed by Tracy Stark, and featuring a cornucopia of special guests!

Described by Broadway World as the "David Bowie of cabaret," "slyly subversive" by the Wall Street Journal, and labeled the "male Marlene Dietrich" by the New York Times, Australian Kim David Smith courts holiday cheer amid the glitter, doom, and decadence of 1920’s Berlin in his fabulously queer, Christmassy kabarett fantasia: "A Wery Weimar Christmas."

Featuring original holiday tunes "A Wery Merry Weimar Christmas," and "Don't Let Krampus Catch you Crying" (by Kim David Smith and Tracy Stark), AWWC delivers augmented holiday fare alongside beloved songs of the Weimar Republic ("Pirate Jenny" mit sleigh bells, anyone?) wrapped and warped with care, and topped with a shiny, black bow.

That's right, Rudolph and Santa collide with Weill, Hollaender, Spoliansky, and more in Smith's Minogue-Minnelli-and-Marlene-drenched salute to the Yuletide season. With music direction by award-winning accompanist Tracy Stark, Smith is traditionally joined by special guests, who in previous editions of AWWC have included: Bright Light Bright Light, Natalie Joy Johnson, Boy Radio, K.T. Sullivan, and New York’s beloved father of the great small stage, Sidney Myer, among others.

Debuting at Club Cumming in December 2019, AWWC manifested in 2020 as a virtual holiday apparition (streamed from Club Cumming), retook the live stage in December 2021, and in 2022 returned for another not-so-silent night of vigorously jingled bells.
