Tallulah Talons, New York nightlife diva and the 6'1 giantess of burlesque, hosts monthly Amateur Burlesque Showcases on the second Sundays of the month at Club Cumming.

This show will feature new performers and experimental acts! Many of our previous participants have gone on to forge incredible careers in the New York burlesque scene. You really never know what you’re going to see in this show.

Want to perform? Everyone is welcome to participate in a future Burlesque Open Stage shows, no experience necessary. Come out to a show and ask how you can be in the next one!

Advance reservations are required for guaranteed entry to Club Cumming and to attend this show. A limited number of additional tickets will be available at the door for $25 cash, space allowing. This event is 21+.

Promotion, graphic design and pop-art honoring the late @therealpeterlindbergh and his contribution to fashion as one of the first photographers to shoot for American @voguemagazine @theannawintour

his simple yet revealing portraits and narrative style coined the era of the “TOP MODEL” and catapulted the careers of fashion’s most legendary supermodels including Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Tatjana Patitz, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.

His specific editorial and portraiture of Naomi, Linda, Chrissy and Tatjana for Vogue(photographed in a backyard in Brooklyn) role-playing trans masc characters destigmatizing archetypes of traditionally thin, beautiful feminine women into trans masc characters with swag. Producing imagery that would be viewed today as artistic “gender-queerness”.

politicians in this current political climate seek to erase trans people and in many states across the U.S are moving rapidly to criminalize trans and queer people by restricting our freedom of speech and expression These rapidly-moving pieces of legislation are not only destructive to queer culture as a whole but is a “mask” to place blame on our nation’s economic woes, distracting our country through fear. A fear that has a domino effect not only effecting trans and queer people but placing an existential threat to artistic livelihood and expression everywhere.

@therealpeterlindbergh artwork and photography in this specific shoot offer us a catalyst to examine our “gender-queerness” in the era of high-fashion luxury, consumerism and capitalistic-greed. Highlighting a focus on how our country’s displacement of economic injustice has weaponized a rising global attitude against the world’s most marginalized communities.

Living our truths authentically and through community is our greatest tool against fascism and tyranny.

Fashion as an act of rebellion.

A magical night of ritual hetero theater where we celebrate going back to class, the selection of a King & Queen, football (???), and the forcible joining of cheerleaders, goths, sluts, geeks, weirdos, and jocks in the high school gym. Wear your back-to-school best or nostalgic formalwear, arrive early at 7:30 for the Spirit Day competition, dance to queer-girl-fronted live music by glam rock band The Manimals and synth pop artist Zoe Briskey, get glittered in your team colors at the Glitter Bar, and stay out late for the bonfire kegger (a.k.a. afterparty at Club Cumming).
