DoubleDecker Productions presents the world renowned Dutch viola player Esther Apituley!
Join us for an intimate performance by Esther Apituley accompanied by pianist Carlos Homs and vocalist Chanel Karimkhani.
A performance that goes beyond just listening. They will play music from composers like Fauré, Bach and Poublenc combined with wonderful elements of jazz and improvisation. Apituley will also share her passion for music and how it can embellish every aspect of life.
Esther Apituley's goal is to make classical music accessible to a much wider and more diverse audience. This is why, in 2016 she created the theatrical performance, Bach and Bleach - a story of a classical musician and a Bosnian refugee intertwined with a concert. Bach and Bleach is only performed on theater stages not in concert halls. There is a story to be watched with an incredible array of classically based music surrounding it.
Bach and Bleach successfully played over 50 times in Europe and had it's US premiere June 2019 at La Mama Theatre in New York. It received rave reviews and because of popular demand it was decided to remount it for a longer Off Broadway run next year. DoubleDeckerProductions is producing it. Please help us bring this wonderful show Bach and Bleach back to Manhattan where it belongs!
Come and enjoy our signature cocktail, wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres ………… and help to spread the word!
